Meet Lovable Leslynn the CMN Family of the Month April 2024
Here is Leslynn's story:
You might catch me entranced by the magic of my screen, jamming to some beats, or exploring the great outdoors.
My life began with a bumpy start, born at just 29 weeks and finding myself in the NICU.
My parents were ecstatic to take me home, but my development didn't quite match up to expectations.
That's when Children's Village came to the rescue!
Their team of experts diagnosed me with Dystonia and Cerebral Palsy, and crafted a one-of-a-kind care plan.
Thanks to them, my parents could breathe easy knowing I was in good hands.
Thanks to the warm and caring staff of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at MultiCare Yakima Memorial Hospital and Children's Village, Leslynn was able to receive critical care when she needed it the most.
Some of the equipment, physical therapy, and family support were made possible by local donations from readers like YOU!
The Memorial Foundation in Yakima is constantly on the lookout for ways to help local families get the funding, resources, and critical medical care their children need in order to flourish and thrive.
The next Children's Miracle Network Radiothon is coming up in October 2024, and we would love to count on your support.
Last year, the Memorial Foundation was able to raise over $100,000 from the Radiothon!
WHERE DOES THE MONEY GO?
Funds raised during the Radiothon help cover medical needs for children, including:
- Autism spectrum disorders
- Behavioral Health
- Child care
- Cleft palate program
- Developmental screenings
- Developmental behavioral pediatrics
- Early intervention program
- Medical specialties
- Parent to Parent
- Nurse Family Partnership
- Pediatric Dentistry
- Therapy Services
See you in October!
