One of the biggest Halloween events in the Yakima area is the annual Trunk or Treat at Steve Hahn's!

Thousands of kids show up with their families donned in the cutest, scariest, and sometimes most outrageous costumes in town. Sometimes, even pets will show up! The trunk or treat booths are manned by local businesses, nonprofits, and community groups from the Yakima area.

WHY YAKIMA KIDS LOVE GOING TO STEVE HAHN'S TRUNK OR TREAT

Kids love going because there are over 100 car trunks passing out a bunch of candy to everyone.

Parents love going because it's a safe way to trick or treat with your kids, and many say it's worth the long lines to wait!

This year, there will be a huge Monster Pit, which is a fancy name for their "Haunted Car Lot."

PARKING

Parking will be across the street where there are several business parking lots who give their permission because they know how much this event means to the Yakima community.

Several of our Townsquare Media Yakima radio stations will be broadcasting live from 3-5 p.m. We can't wait to see you there and check out your Halloween costume for this year!

IF YOU WANT TO BE A HAVE A BOOTH AT STEVE HAHN'S TRUNK OR TREAT...

Give the friendly staff a call (509) 248-4700 and ask for Charlie or just tell them you want to have a booth at Trunk or Treat. If you don't have a trunk big enough but still want to participate, they will provide you with a car trunk to use for the evening!

Steve Hahn's Trunk or Treat is on Halloween Night from 4 to 7 p.m. They're located at 1730 S 1st St in Yakima.

LOOK: How Halloween has changed in the past 100 years

Stacker compiled a list of ways that Halloween has changed over the last 100 years, from how we celebrate it on the day to the costumes we wear trick-or-treating. We’ve included events, inventions, and trends that changed the ways that Halloween was celebrated over time. Many of these traditions were phased out over time. But just like fake blood in a carpet, every bit of Halloween’s history left an impression we can see traces of today.
