UConn Defeats Gonzaga to Advance to the Final Four NCAA Tournament

The UConn Huskies men's basketball team made a statement Saturday night as they defeated the Gonzaga Bulldogs by nearly 30 points to advance to the coveted FINAL FOUR next weekend in Houston, Texas.

The final score of 82 - 54 left little doubt that the Huskies are on a roll and will be very tough to beat, no matter who they take on next week, and they'll know tomorrow afternoon if that will be Miami or Texas. Meanwhile, Florida Atlantic has also advanced to the Final Four with a big win over Kansas State today, and they'll match up with either Creighton or San Diego State who tangle tomorrow afternoon.

Gonzaga Ends Successful Season, Timme Says Goodbye

The Zags had a great season with an impressive record of 31-6. Pacific Northwest basketball fans have come to expect big things from this program which will take on some new looks next season as All-American Drew Timme has played his last college basketball game.

Always a factor, Timme didn't have a colossal game, scoring just 12 points, pulling down 10 rebounds, and taking a seat for the final time as a Bulldog with under two minutes left.
