Yakima Primary Results Show Low Voter Engagement at 12.57%
Did you vote in the primary election? Yakima County Auditor Charles Ross issued more than 133,000 ballots more than 2 weeks before the election and the turnout was a low 12.57% on election night.
TURNOUT ALWAYS LOW
Ross says the turnout is always low on an off year election but he's surprised its as low as 12.57%. However Ross says the number will increase with more ballot counting in the days ahead but he doesn't expect the number to double meaning Yakima could end up with a record low primary election turnout.

MORE BALLOTS COUNTED
Ballots will be counted in the days ahead but like past elections Ross says most of the ballots are expected to follow the trend ballots set on election night.
Remember the two candidates who gain the most votes move to the general election in November.
