
Another Pinch in the Wallet Gas Up 5 Cents in Yakima This Week
If you're stopping at the gas station to fill the tank average gasoline prices in Yakima have risen 5.1 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $4.43 per gallon today, according to GasBuddy's survey of 91 stations in Yakima.

GasBuddy officials say prices in Yakima are 30.6 cents per gallon higher than a month ago and stand 20.0 cents per gallon higher than a year ago.
You'll find the cheapest gas in the valley at Wheeler's Kountry Korner in Wapato where gas is selling for $3.78 per gallon. The cost is $3.85 a gallon at the Ahtanum Fuel Stop on Goodman Road. Statewide the average price is sitting at an average of $4.66 per gallon.
AT LEAST THE CHANGEOVER TO SUMMER GAS IS COMPLETE
Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy says the changeover to summer gasoline has been completed which has caused price hikes over the last several months. However he says "it may take time for the largest pain point to be over: refinery maintenance. The next few weeks should see many refineries wrapping up their work and gasoline output should rise, putting downward pressure on gasoline prices soon," On the national side gas is up 4.3 cents per gallon averaging $3.64 per gallon.

The national average is up 10.8 cents per gallon from a month ago and stands 1.1 cents per gallon lower than a year ago, according to GasBuddy data compiled from more than 11 million weekly price reports covering over 150,000 gas stations across the country. Your neighbors in other parts of the state are paying much more for gas.
DRIVERS ON THE WEST SIDE OF THE STATE
Tacoma- $4.61/g, down 5.3 cents per gallon from last week's $4.66/g.
Seattle- $4.79/g, up 0.4 cents per gallon from last week's $4.79/g.
