If it’s fried you’ll find it at the Central Washington State Fair later this month, September 24 through October 3 at Yakima’s State Fair Park. For decades fair food has been the sole reason many attend the fair and that’s why fair officials spend a lot of time making sure they have plenty of great food for you to enjoy.

IF YOU LOVE FRIED FOODS THERE'S A NEW ITEM THIS YEAR

Kathy Kramer, President, and CEO of Central Washington Fair Association says they’ll have all the fan favorites at the fair this year including corn dogs, Young Life BBQ beef sandwiches, the roasted corn on the cob, funnel cakes and a fried favorite elephant ears! If you’re looking forward to fried favorites you’ll find them at this year’s Central Washington State Fair including a new fried item, fried raviolis. Will you try them?
Kramer says you’ll also find other fried favorites like deep fried Oreos, deep fried cheese, snickers and deep fried Twinkies. You’ll also find deep fried Churros and deep fried pork rinds in a variety of flavors.

DID YOU WET YOUR APPETITE AT THE DRIVE THROUGH FOOD FEST?

You may have wet your appetite for fair food earlier this year when fair officials held a drive-thru Fair Food Fest at Yakima’s State Fair Park. Because of the pandemic the Central Washington State Fair was cancelled in 2020 when the new President and CEO of State Fair Park started her job. This year will be Kathy Kramer’s first full fair under her new leadership.
If you’re attending the fair this year for the food or any other reason don’t forget your mask because masks will be a required as per a statewide mandate whether  you are vaccinated or not.
