(AP) — The Washington Capitals and the Anaheim Ducks get the chance to exorcise their Game 7 demons tonight.

The Capitals will try to end years of frustration at the hands of the Pittsburgh Penguins as the NHL's top two teams face off in Washington for Game 7 of their second-round series. Washington is 0-3 against the Penguins in Game 7s, including a 6-2 loss at home in 2009. The Capitals have lost six of nine Game 7s in the Alex Ovechkin era.

Later tonight, the Anaheim Ducks will try to end their Game 7 losing streak when they host the Edmonton Oilers. The Ducks have lost a seventh game at home in the past four consecutive postseasons, and have lost five Game 7s in a row with stars Ryan Getzlaf and Corey Perry.

The Oilers haven't made the Western Conference finals since 2006.
