Haniger Hammers Two Homers, Mariners Lose Lead Late [VIDEO]
Seattle Mariners outfielder Mitch Haniger cranked both his 9th and 10th home runs of the 2021 season to pull into a tie for the American League lead in round-trippers but it wasn't enough as the M's bullpen couldn't hold on to a 4-1 lead late in the game at Chavez Ravine against the defending World Series champion Los Angeles Dodgers.
The Dodgers scratched out 2 runs in the bottom of the 7th inning and Gavin Lux smoked a three-run jack in the bottom of the 8th for a 6-4 comeback win over the M's.
The loss dropped the Mariners record to .500 at 18-18 while the win got the scuffling Dodgers back in the win column at 19-17.

Starting pitcher Justin Dunn (1-0) toes the rubber in the second game of the truncated two-game series for the Mariners at Dodgers stadium tomorrow (May 12). First pitch is slated for 7:10 p.m.
Haniger got the M's on the board in just the second at-bat of the game off of the Dodgers Walker Buehler.
Third baseman Kyle Seager also showed off to his younger sibling Corey with a blast of his own.
Haniger's second bomb of the evening concluded the Mariners scoring and was the final of just four base hits for the M's in the contest.
Dodgers - 6, Mariners - 4
