North Carolina Hall of Fame basketball coach Roy Williams is retiring. The decision comes two weeks after Williams closed his 18th season with the Tar Heels and 33rd as a head coach overall going back to Kansas. Williams won 903 games in a career and won three national championships with the Tar Heels. UNC lost to Wisconsin in the first round of the NCAA Tournament in his final game. Williams described himself as a coach bothered with losses and his own mistakes in the past two seasons, saying: “I no longer feel that I am the right man for the job.”
