LOS ANGELES (AP) — Sam Burns had a great start and an even better finish at Riviera. Burns shot a 7-under 64 and leads the Genesis Invitational by two shots over Matt Fitzpatrick and Max Homa. Burns began his round with an 18-foot eagle putt. He finished it with three straight birdies. This is the third time this season on the PGA Tour that Burns has opened with a 64. The 24-year-old is looking for his first win. Patrick Cantlay had four birdies on his back nine for a 67. Dustin Johnson, Brooks Koepka and Jordan Spieth were another shot behind.
