Forever 21 Store in Yakima Set to Close

We heard a few days ago that Forever 21 would be filing for bankruptcy protection, and as a result, would be closing down stores. When the bankruptcy announcement was made, it wasn't clear what stores would close. We now know which stores COULD potentially close. Forever 21 released a list of 180 stores. The Forever 21 (F21 Red) store at the Valley Mall in Yakima is on the list.

There's a total of seven Forever 21 stores in the state of Washington set to close. The location in Yakima is the only location on the east side of the state that made the list.

The Valley Mall gave us a statement regarding this potential closure; "It is true that Valley Mall’s F21 RED did make the list of possible closures but nothing is final. Forever 21, as a company, is in talks with our leasing team to see if there’s a way to save the store. We will have more information in the coming weeks but the closure is not concrete only a possibility."
