
It’s an Instant Classic! Montana State Wild Win in OT to Claim FCS Championship
The FCS Championship game between the Illinois State Redbirds and Montana State Bobcats in Nashville. It played like a high energy Garth Brooks' concert with all the highs and lows of emotions.

Feeling the pressure in OT, Montana State's Justin Lamson delivered the a showstopper number by hitting Taco Dowler for a 14-yard, game-winning touchdown. Myles Sansted kicked the extra point for the final crescendo to a 34 - 35 win in the FCS Championship, first national title for the Bobcats since 1984.
The Cinderella story of the Illinois State Redbird, who entered the playoffs unseeded and played their way into thriller of a championship game that ended with not one but two heartbreaking game-winning field goals. One that was blocked at the end of regulation and a PAT in overtime.
Justin Lamson threw for 280 yards, scored four touchdowns. Wide receiver Taco Dowler was Lamson main target catching eight passes for 111 yards with a touchdown, and had a 22-yard rushing score for the Bobcats of Montana State.
Illinois State quarterback Tommy Rittenhouse left it all on the line in his final collegiate game, passing for 311 yards with four touchdowns in the loss.
