(AP) - Olympic bronze medalist Matt Antoine and Olympic veterans John Daly and Katie Uhlaender were among the six sliders announced Wednesday as members of the U.S. World Cup skeleton team to start the season.

Also picked were Greg West, who joins Antoine and Daly on the men's side, and women's sliders Kendall Wesenberg and Savannah Graybill.

The World Cup season starts on the Americans' home track in Lake Placid, New York, in November.

U.S. sliders who also were picked for the national team and will begin the season on the Intercontinental Cup tour are Annie O'Shea, Megan Henry, Gracie Clapp-Taylor, Kyle Brown, Mike Rogals and Nathan Crumpton.

The U.S. skeleton team that will compete in this winter's Pyeongchang Olympics is expected to be announced on Jan. 15.
