Closing Time For the ‘Bartender’, M’s Place Wilhelmsen on DL, Call Up Three Others

Tom Wilhelmsen, right-handed relief pitcher for the Seattle Mariners, has been placed on the 15-day disabled list.

The M's filled his spot in the bullpen and added some extra reinforcement by bringing righty Dan Altavilla to the big league club from Double-A as well as Pat Venditte from AAA Tacoma. Vinditte is best know for his ability to pitch with either hand.

Seattle also recalled 1B/DH Dae-Ho Lee from the minors while outfielder Nori Aoki and infielder Mike Freeman were sent back down to the minors.
