Beavers Lay Foundation for the Future With Young Roster
Pac-12 Basketball Tournament - First Round - Oregon State v Oregon
CORVALLIS, Ore. (AP) — The Oregon State Beavers are laying a foundation for the future with a young roster this season.
They've got just one senior, 7-foot center Cheikh N'diaye, to go with nine players who are new or didn't play last year when the Beavers returned to the NCAA Tournament after a 26-year absence.
The Beavers improved to 19-13 overall last season and finished sixth in the Pac-12, which sent a record seven teams to the NCAA Tournament. Oregon State lost to VCU 75-67 in the team's opening round.
This season they were picked to finish ninth in the league by reporters who cover the Pac-12.
