BANDON, Ore (AP) — The United States Golf Association has chosen Bandon Dunes to be the site of the 2020 U.S. Amateur tournament.

The event will be held in August of that year and use two of the four courses at the revered golf resort on the south Oregon Coast.

It will be the sixth USGA championship held at Bandon Dunes, including this week's U.S. Women's Amateur Four-Ball at the resort's Pacific Dunes Course.

The U.S. Amateur has been played in Oregon three times before, twice in Portland and once at Pumpkin Ridge in North Plains.
