Americans Helen Maroulis and Thomas Gilman claimed bronze medals. Japan’s Risako Kawai won her second Olympic gold with a win over Iryna Kurachkina of Belarus in the women’s 57-kilogram freestyle final. American heavyweight Gable Steveson will go for gold on Friday. He defeated 2016 champion Taha Akgul 8-0 in the quarterfinals.
