Ag Equipment Sector Like Tax Bill; Perdue Applauds USDA 2017
**The ag equipment sector is welcoming tax reform legislation passed by Congress.
Signed Friday by President Trump, the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act is being hailed by the Equipment Dealers Association and Association of Equipment Manufacturers as a huge win for their industries.
According to KGFW, EDA tax advisory consultant Nick Demetrios says the business expense and interest limitations will benefit most dealers.
AEM president Dennis Slater says the tax bill will encourage equipment manufacturers large and small to hire new workers, expand facilities, and buy new equipment.

**The healthcare industry is growing faster than any other U.S. industry and is projected to add the most jobs of any industry by 2024.
According to a new USDA report, from 2001 to 2015, employment in rural inpatient healthcare facilities and in the ag and mining sectors was stable or grew modestly despite the effects of the Great Recession.
This report estimates the share of wage/salary employment in inpatient healthcare facilities versus other industries in rural counties during 2001-2015.
**Ag Secretary Sonny Perdue applauded the accomplishments made by the USDA over the past year.
During the first year of the Trump Administration, USDA made breakthroughs in agricultural trade, moved to reduce burdensome regulations, responded to natural disasters, and battled through the worst fire season on record, among other notable achievements.
Perdue says in the wake of hurricanes, forest fires, and everything in between, the dedicated professionals at USDA worked tirelessly to serve the American people.
