Yakima Valley Community College, in collaboration with the Cowiche Canyon Conservancy, will present the series that is free and open to the community.

The first lecture will feature Dr. Ben Maletzke and will include a discussion on research on the ecology, behavior, and range of cougars in the upper Yakima River basin by the Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW).

In addition, it will include how that research has helped guide WDFW’s management of cougars in Washington.

The presentation will take place on February 24 at 7:00 p.m. in Glenn Anthon Hall Room 215.
