The Yakima Valley Pippins found themselves in first place in the Eastern Division of the West Coast League with a 10-1 victory over the Kitsap Bluejackets in Yakima County Stadium on Saturday night.

The Bluejackets scored first again against the Pippins in the first inning, but the Pippins bounced back in the second inning, putting runners on the corners when Randy Fuller hit a two-run RBI into right field. Pippins 2-1.

With the bases loaded in the sixth inning, the Pippins' Ryan Yamane walked to score a run. Then Jake Robert hit another two-run RBI to put the Pippins up 5-1.

The Pippins' offensive onslaught continued as Yakima scored five more times, highlighted by a two-run HR by J.C. Snyder.

Andrew Woods got his first win of the season, giving up only five hits against the Bluejackets. And the Pippins extended their winning streak to five. It's also their fifth straight series win.
