Yakima Bears “Breast Cancer Awareness” Tonight
In tonight’s Yakima Bears game against the Everett Aqua Sox (7:05pm at Yakima County Stadium) the ballclub will be sporting pink jerseys to bring awareness to, and raise money for, breast cancer and research.
The annual event is presented in conjunction with Washington Hemotology/Oncology.
The first 500 women through the gates will receive a free pink-colored replica Bears jersey of their own, courtesy of Bi-Mart Discount Membership stores in Yakima.
All fans in attendance will have the opportunity to place bids in a silent auction for the actual game-worn jerseys donned and autographed by the individual players with all of the proceeds going towards breast cancer research.
Gates for game three of the five game series between the Northwest League’s two division leaders open at 6:00pm. First pitch is set for 7:05.
