PULLMAN, Wash. (AP) — Conor Clifford led a balanced Washington State offense with 18 points as the Cougars rolled to a 74-57 win over Cal State-Los Angeles on Tuesday night.

Que Johnson added 15 points for the Cougars (3-0) at Beasley Coliseum. WSU played without leading scorer and rebounder Josh Hawkinson, who sat out with a groin injury.

Joshua Munzon led the Golden Eagles (0-5), an NCAA Division II team, with 24 points. Munzon sank 11 of 13 shots from the field.

The Eagles shot 42.3 percent from the field, compared to 53.8 percent for Washington State.

The Cougars led from the opening minutes and built a 37-25 lead by halftime. Munzon sank all seven of his field-goal attempts in the half for 15 points. Only three other Eagles scored by halftime, and Geoffrey Frid (six points) was the only one of those players with more than two points.
