(AP)” The Golden State Warriors are just two away from tying the NBA record for longest road winning streak in a single season.

Klay Thompson poured in 38 points and the Warriors made it 14 straight road wins by downing the Bulls 119-112. Stephen Curry chipped in 30 points and Kevin Durant added 19 as the Warriors tied the third-longest road winning streak heading into Saturday's showdown with the Rockets in Houston.

Thompson and Curry led the way as Golden State outscored Chicago 32-12 in the third quarter to open a 95-78 lead. Curry sparked a 19-0 run by hitting a tiebreaking 3-pointer with 9:23 left in the period.

The 1971-72 Lakers own the league's longest road winning streak.
