Two Meetings of Ranked Teams
(AP) — A pair of top-25 showdowns highlight the college basketball schedule tonight.
No. 10 UCLA will be looking to even the score when the Bruins host fifth-ranked Oregon in a Pac-12 battle. Both head into the game with 21-3 records, but the Ducks have a 10-1 conference record that includes a 17-point win last week over then No. 5 Arizona. The Bruins are 8-3 in conference, including a one-point loss to the Ducks on Dillion Brook's 3-point buzzer beater in December.
No. 8 North Carolina and 18th-ranked Duke renew their fierce rivalry in front of the Cameron Crazies. The Blue Devils have struggled through injuries that saw them lose four of seven in one stretch. But they are now healthy and coach Mike Krzyzewski will be back on the bench for the second time since recovering from back surgery.
The 21-4 Tar Heels sit atop the ACC with a 9-2 conference mark. Duke heads into the game with an 18-5 mark, 6-4 in conference.
Top-ranked Gonzaga takes its perfect 24-0 record into tonight's game at Loyola Marymount. Another victory will give the Bulldogs their 10th straight 25-win season. Gonzaga won by 38 points when the two teams met in Spokane last month.
There are seven games on the top 25 schedule.
