Tim Hudson Suffers Gruesome Injury [WARNING: GRAPHIC VIDEO]

In last night's game in Queens, N.Y. between the Mets and the Braves, Atlanta pitcher Tim Hudson suffered a gruesome injury when covering first base on a ground ball hit by New York's Eric Young.

Frankly, with the number of close plays at the bag, it is surprising injuries like this do not occur more often.

Notice the good sportsmanship displayed by Young, who was visibly shaken, and the notoriously harsh New York fans as Hudson was carted off of the diamond.
