Ex-Rangers Manager Ron Washington Says He Quit Because He’d Been Unfaithful to His Wife
On Sept. 5, Ron Washington, then manager of the Texas Rangers baseball club, abruptly resigned his position with the team without citing a reason. Many speculated that he had "fallen off the wagon" as he previously had admitted to battling abuse of cocaine.
Today, in an official news conference during which he neither took nor answered any questions, Washington gave the reason: infidelity to his wife was why he stepped down.
