The 19th Annual (after a one-year hiatus due to the pandemic) returns tonight (June 24) to the Yakima Convention Center to honor athletes, teams, and coaches throughout the Yakima Valley and Central Washington in 21 different high school sports.

The first class of inductees were ushered in to the Central Washington Sports Hall of Fame in a ceremony held at the Yakima Convention Center on Saturday.

In what has already been a whirlwind couple of weeks, new Yakima SunKings basketball coach Paul Woolpert took a few minutes to tell us what has transpired, what's next and what coaching gig a half a world away he had before eventually landing back in Washington.

The 10th annual Yakima Sports Awards Luncheon was held this afternoon at the Yakima Convention Center honoring Yakima Valley teams, athletes and coaches. I was honored to be able co-host the event with KIMA-TV's Alan Sillence and help to present him with the Fred Redmon Service Award. Full results as follows:
