Still Dancing: Huskies Aren’t NIT-Picky About Post-Season Tournament Partner

While the University of Washington men's basketball team failed to make the Big Dance, Lorenzo Romar's fresh-faced club will still have the opportunity to bring home some hardware to Mountlake.

After being bounced by eventual Pac-12 tourney champion Oregon in the second round, Selection Sunday didn't hold much hope for the Dawgs to enter the NCAA field of 64. Or, 68. Or however that works now.

Instead, the #3 seed U of W will get to stay at home for their first round match-up in the National Invitation Tournament tomorrow night at Hec Ed Pavilion (a.k.a. Alaska Airlines Arena) against sixth-seeded Long Beach State.  Tip-off is scheduled for 6:00P.M. and you can catch all of the play-by-play action with the voice of the Huskies, Bob Rondeau, right here on 1460 ESPN Yakima.
