SAN DIEGO (AP) — Brandt Snedeker weathered the storm to win the Farmers Insurance Open by one stroke over K.J. Choi.

Snedeker posted an eye-popping 3-under 69 during a rainy, windy Sunday before his 6-under total stood up during the completion of the weather-delayed final round. The 69 was the only under par final round over the two days in conditions that sometimes saw 40 mph winds.

Choi had a chance to force a playoff on the final hole, but couldn't sink his 30-foot birdie putt and finished up with a 76.

Jimmy Walker was 7-under at the resumption of play Monday, but went 4-over on the final eight holes to finish three off the pace.
