Serena, Venus Played 50 Fewer Times Than Evert, Navratilova

Serena and Venus Williams have played each other 30 times so far and nine of those matches were in Grand Slam finals. But their rivalry doesn’t come close to the volume or magnitude of the great tennis rivalry between Martina Navartilova and Chris Evert. They played each other 80 times and that includes 14 Grand Slam finals with five of them at Wimbedon. This year’s tournament at Wimbledon was canceled because of the coronavirus pandemic. Also on the women’s list of best tennis rivalries over the years is Navratilova vs. Steffi Graf, Graf vs. Monica Seles, and Evert vs. Evonne Goolagong Cawley.
