Seattle's rookie quarterback not only stands out among the first year quarterback class, but ranks among the NFL leaders.

Seahawks coach Pete Carroll says that rookie quarterback Robert Wilson "continues to ascend" as the starter. His quarterback rating is not only best among this years class of rookie starters, but it's also up there with two of the game's all time best.

Since Week 5, Russell Wilson doesn't just lead the pack of rookie signal callers in ESPN's QBR (79.1), only two quarterbacks in the NFL have been better: Tom Brady (84.7) and Peyton Manning (81.0).

Other rookie QBs (overall): Robert Griffin III 74.7 (6th), Andrew Luck 72.3 (9th), Ryan Tannehill 56.7 (17th), Brandon Weeden 33.0 (28th).

The Seahawks take on the Chicago Bears this Sunday at 10 on Newstalk KIT.
