The Seattle Mariners opened up their 2014 home season Tuesday night by recognizing their next-door neighbors, the Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks.

The Mariners are off to their best start in years, coming off a 4-2 season-opening road trip. Tuesday night, the Mariners hosted the L.A. Angels of Anaheim at Safeco Field. During pregame ceremonies, the M's saluted the Super Bowl XLVIII champion Seahawks with a video montage and then introduced members of the team.

The Mariners defeated the Angels Tuesday night 5-3 to run their record to 5-2, first place in the American League West.
