Seattle Seahawks strong safety Kam Chancellor has undergone hip surgery.

The Seahawks confirmed Chancellor's surgery on Tuesday following a report from NFL.com. No details were released by the team regarding what the surgery fixed in Chancellor's hip, only that the surgery took place a month ago.

Chancellor had been bothered by his hips in the past but has missed just one regular-season game in his four-year career. It's unknown how much Chancellor's surgery will limit his availability to participate in offseason workouts and training camp.

Chancellor was a second-team All-Pro selection this past season after having 93 total tackles and three interceptions during the regular season. He had another two interceptions in the postseason, including one in the Super Bowl.
