Seahawks Bringing In Terrell Owens For Workout Monday
The Seahawks, still looking to bulk up their receiving corps, will give the 38 year old Owens a look today.
The Seahawks are in need of another receiver after releasing Antonio Bryant yesterday. Bryant had been signed just last week, in time for the beginning of training camp.
Owens, 38, is seen by many as washed up, but Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll and GM John Schneider apparently are looking to see whether Owens might have one more year left in him. He hasn’t played in the NFL since 2010, sustaining a knee injury in the 2011 offseason and missing that year.
Owens could be competing for a spot on Seattle’s receiving corps, including Doug Baldwin, Sydney Rice and Ricardo Lockette. The Seahawks also signed Braylon Edwards last week to beef up their passing game.
The Seahawks open up their pre season this Saturday night at home against the Tennessee Titans.
