San Francisco Bay Area Rapid Tranist New Cars Have Seahawks’ Colors, 49ers Fans Not Amused

Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) upholstered the seats in its new train cars in blue and lime green -- the colors of the Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks. Fans of the San Francisco 49ers are not at all pleased.

There's no real explanation of why BART went with these colors, but BART general manager Grace Crunican was the director of Seattle's Department of Transportation until taking the San Francisco Bay Area job.

A 49ers fan even started a petition on change.org to get BART to change the color of the seats.

Please refrain from outfitting the seats in BART cars in neon green and blue, the colors of the NFL's Seattle Seahawks (as per the picture on BART.gov).
