Running back Aaron Baltazar has transferred from Boise State to Washington State.

Baltazar will have to sit out this coming season per NCAA transfer rules. He will have three years to play for the Cougars.

In his first season of college ball, Baltazar carried the ball 50 times, amassing 234 yards (4.7 yards/carry) and two touchdowns in just five games before tearing his ACL. He also caught five passes for 18 yards.

What might be the most impressive thing about this is who Baltazar chose WSU over. He decided on Pullman after a recent visit but was also looking into Oregon State, USC and UCLA. That's quite the battle to win for an excellent athlete who was recruited by UCLA, Washington, San Diego State, Cincinnati and Boise State out of high school in Chula Vista, Calif.

Baltazar played as a true freshman last year and will sit out the 2014 season per NCAA transfer rules and be eligible for three seasons beginning in 2015.
