NFL.com is reporting Seattle Seahawks defensive tackle Brandon Mebane will miss the rest of the season with a torn hamstring.

Mebane left during the second quarter of the Seahawks 38-17 win over the New York Giants on Sunday. Talking to reporters Monday, Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll termed the injury a "really legit hamstring pull," and said that the eighth-year player from California "would miss some time."

Mebane's loss will add to the problems of a defense already depleted by injuries to linebackers Bobby Wagner and Malcolm Smith, and defensive backs Byron Maxwell and Kam Chancellor.
