April 26 marked the country's annual #AlienDay celebration, and Reebok Classics got in on the action by hosting an invite-only reception unveiling their latest footwear collaboration, the Alien Stomper “Final Battle” pack.

Reebok Classics revealed their upcoming kicks, which pay homage to Sigourney Weaver's Aliens character Ellen Ripley and the original Alien Stomper sneakers created just for her, on the top floor Time Square's Westin hotel with the shoe's actual designers on site, explaining every detail of the shoes down to their shoebox. While the sneaker announcement was made to honor #AlienDay and Ellen Ripley's badass character, it also gave invitees the chance to relive the film that helped boast Weaver's career.

Inspired by Ripley's climatic duel with the Xenomorph Queen, the revamped Alien Stompers come in two different designs known as the "Queen" and the "Powerloader" and took approximately 100 hours to design. The "Queen" pays tribute to the deadly matriarchal villian with a gloss finish reflective of the Xenomorph's exoskeleton. They were created with "high-sheen black patent leather and a toxic green glow that pulses beneath the translucent midsole, which is a nod to the Queen’s corrosive blood," says Reebok. "To complete the ensemble, the Stomper’s signature forefoot strap is embroidered with 'XX121’, the code designation given to the extraterrestrial species."

The "Powerloader" pays homage to Ripley's "battle-ready" cargo suit. It comes with icy orange outsoles that compliment a ‘safety yellow’ leather upper. They also come with meshed panels that overlay the Reebok logo to reference the canopy that protected Ripley during her final showdown with the Xenomorph.

The Alien Stomper ‘Final Battle’ pack releases July 18 - the same day the original Aliens movie hit theaters - and will retail for $325. Check out reebok.com for more information, and take a look at the shoes below.
