The Yakima Valley Pippins rallied for a 9-7 win against the Kelowna Falcons in a Sunday night road game. Nick Kern got the victory, and Ken Rosenberg picked up his second save of the season.

Kelowna got the scoring going with runs in the first and second innings to take a 2-0 lead, but the Pippins got one on the board with a bases-loaded walk in the third inning.

Then the runs started to come for the Pippins. They got three in the fifth, thanks to a two-run homer from Nick Kern that made it 4-2 Pippins. But the Falcons tied the game at 4 by adding two in the bottom of the fifth.

A throwing error by Josh Croft helped the Pippins score two more, but then Kelowna took a 7-6 lead in the seventh inning on Nick Minteer's RBI single and a squeeze bunt by Trey Kamachi.

Mitch Skaggs tied the game for Yakima on an RBI single, and then the final scoring for the Pippins came from Ryan Yamane's RBI single and Alex Guenette's RBI double, adding up to a 9-7 Pippins win.

The win keeps the Pippins (24-18) two games ahead of the Wenatchee AppleSox in the East Division of the West Coast League.
