The Wenatchee AppleSox pounded The Yakima Valley Pippins 11-1 Thursday night at the Orchard.

AppleSox starter Brandon Bailey kept the Pippins scoreless through eight innings while Wenatchee batters managed three runs in the second through the fourth innings. Then the gates broke open as the. AppleSox scored three in sixth and eighth before adding two more in the ninth.

The Pippins' lone score  came off of Reid Martinez's RBI sacrifice fly.

The loss drops the Pippins to 21-13 in West Coast League play, still four games ahead of the AppleSox and the Walla Walla Sweets in the East Division.

Tonight it's Eli Morgan on the mound against the AppleSox. Game time is 7:05 p.m., with pregame at 6:55 on 1460 ESPN Yakima.
