The Yakima Valley Pippins notched their fourth straight win Saturday night with a 15-2 cruise against the Klamath Falls Gems at Yakima County Stadium.The Gems scored fast in the first inning off a solo home run from John Williams to take their only lead of the game. The Pippins answered with four runs off the bats of Rosa, Martinez and Fernandez.

Yakima put two more runs on the scoreboard before Mitch Skaggs launched his first HR of the season to make it 7-1 Pippins.

Yakima added eight more runs and the Gems scored once more to reach the 15-2 final.

The win — before a crowd of 1,498 — lifts the Pippins to 9-7 overall, 6-5 in the West Coast League. The Gems fell to 3-11 overall.

Andrew Woods takes the mound tonight in the final match of the three-game series at County Stadium. Game time is 5:05 on 1460 ESPN Yakima.
