And that's exactly what the Yakima Valley Pippins intend to do tonight when they open their inaugural season in refurbished Yakima County Stadium.

Pippins Chief Operating Officer Zachary Fraser talked Wednesday with Mike Bastinelli about what fans can expect to see this year. At the top of the list: Good baseball

Fraser says the team could even be in position to compete for a title.

The quest starts at 7:05 p.m., when the Pippins host the Wenatchee AppleSox.
