The Yakima Valley Pippins picked up a pair of stray Gonzaga Bulldogs -- pitcher Wyatt Mills and outfielder Branson Trube are now on the 2015 roster, the team announced Tuesday. The two join West Valley High School standout and current Zag Jace VanDeBrake.

Wyatt Mills

This will be Mills' second season in the West Coast League. Last summer he played for the Kelowna Falcons. In 12 relief outings (25 2/3 innings) last season, he went 2-2 with a 5.26 ERA. In 12 games for Gonzaga so far this year, the sophomore right hander from Spokane has made three relief appearances.

Branson Trube

Trube, meantime, will play his first WCL season this summer when he joins Yakima Valley. After four strong years at Mountain View High School in Meridian, Idaho, Trube -- a freshman centerfielder -- has appeared in eight games for Gonzaga this year, batting .200 and knocking in an RBI.

The Pippins, who won the 2014 East Division championship in their first season, are preparing for a June 5 season opener.
