“Danny is a great asset for the Pippins,” Pacific Baseball Ventures COO Zachary Fraser, “He has worked with wildly successful clubs in the past and we feel that experience will benefit both our staff and our fans.”

Tetzlaff makes his way to Yakima via Casper, Wyo. with over 12 years experience in minor league baseball. He has held executive roles with the Casper Rockies, Lehigh Valley IronPigs, and the Charlotte Knights. He helped Lehigh Valley transition into a $52 million dollar ballpark that allowed the IronPigs to lead all of minor league baseball in attendance with 641,000 fans passing thru turnstiles in 2009.

“The opportunity to build a franchise in the Yakima Valley was hard to pass up,” Tetzlaff said. “Bringing baseball back to the Yakima Valley is a privilege that I relish. The Yakima Valley has a rich baseball tradition and I hope to build off of that as we start a new era of baseball here. We can truly do something special for this area and I am excited to be a part of it."

The Yakima Valley Pippins will begin their quest for a WCL Championship at Yakima County Stadium on June 6th, 2014 at 7:05 P.M. against East Division rival Wenatchee. Tickets are now on sale for the 2014 season, including full-season and partial-season packages, as well as select team merchandise. Those interested in being part of something great from the start are asked to contact Noel Zanchelli at 509-575-HITS (4487) or by email at noel@pippinsbaseball.com.
