It took four hours and 25 minutes before the Yakima Valley Pippins finally got the winning run across home plate at County Stadium, thanks to the RBI single of Josh McCoy, downing the Victoria HarbourCats in 14 innings, 6-5.

Mitch Skaggs got the Pippins on the board with an RBI single in the first inning.

Then the HarbourCats scored five unanswered runs in the next a couple of innings. The highlight was Shawn Watkins' giant HR off of Brandon Williams that sailed over the left-center field fence. That give Victoria a 5-1 lead.

In the sixth inning, the Pippins' Jake Roberts hit a two-run single to make it 5-3 HarbourCats. In the eighth, Shawn Wardian delivered another two runs with a double to tie it at 5-5.

Matt Trask came in for relief and along with great fielding performances by the Pippins, they shut down the HarbourCats scoring opportunities until McCoy's winning RBI.

The hard-fought win keeps the Pippins atop the West Coast League's East Division at 15-10, one game ahead of the Wenatchee AppleSox.

Yakima hosts the HarbourCats again tonight at 7:05. Listen live on 1460 ESPN Yakima.
