Prescott, Spivey and Bolin lead Spokane in win

EVERETT, Wash. (AP) -- Blaine Prescott, Seth Spivey and Travis Bolin each had three hits, as the Spokane Indians beat the Everett AquaSox 9-2 on Monday.

Spivey doubled and singled twice, driving home two runs.

Spokane scored in six different innings in the victory, including the fifth, when Spivey hit an RBI double and Darius Day hit a two-run single.

Starter Jacob Shortslef (2-0) got the win while Matthew Festa (1-2) took the loss in relief in the Northwest League game.

Despite the loss, Everett is 4-2 against Spokane this season.

Jefferson's single leads Hillsboro to 7-4 win over Eugene

EUGENE, Ore. (AP) -- Manny Jefferson hit a two-run single in the fifth inning, leading the Hillsboro Hops to a 7-4 win over the Eugene Emeralds on Monday.

Jake Winston struck D.J. Wilson out with runners on second and third to end the game for his first save of the season.

The single by Jefferson capped a three-run inning and gave the Hops a 4-3 lead after Luke Lowery hit an RBI double earlier in the inning.

With the score tied 4-4 in the seventh, the Hops took the lead for good when Josh Anderson scored on a double play.

Anfernee Grier doubled twice and singled, scoring two runs for Hillsboro.

Palmer Betts (1-0) got the win with 2 1/3 innings of scoreless relief while Enrique De Los Rios (2-4) took the loss in the Northwest League game.

Tri-City beats Vancouver 4-1

VANCOUVER, British Columbia (AP) -- Nate Easley scored on an error in the fourth inning, leading the Tri-City Dust Devils to a 4-1 win over the Vancouver Canadians on Monday.

David Bednar struck Javier Hernandez out with the bases loaded to end the game for his second save of the season.

The play, part of a two-run inning, gave the Dust Devils a 1-0 lead before Luis Asuncion hit an RBI single later in the inning.

After Tri-City added two runs in the seventh, the Canadians cut into the deficit in the ninth inning when Yeltsin Gudino drew a bases-loaded walk, scoring Lance Jones.

Evan Miller (1-0) got the win with two innings of scoreless, one-hit relief while Vancouver starter Juliandry Higuera (1-3) took the loss in the Northwest League game.

Christian Williams doubled and singled for the Canadians.

BOISE, Idaho (AP) -- Steven Linkous scored on a stolen base in the first inning, leading the Boise Hawks to a 7-4 win over the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes in the second game of a doubleheader on Monday.

Justin Lawrence got Ryan Howard to ground out with runners on first and third to end the game for his second save of the season.

Linkous scored on Castro's walk to give the Hawks a 1-0 lead after he reached base on a walk, stole second and then went to third on a single by Garrett Hampson.

Salem-Keizer answered in the top of the next frame when Heath Quinn hit a solo home run to tie it up.

The Hawks took the lead for good in the second when Eric Toole scored on an error.

Boise right-hander Javier Medina (4-0) picked up the win after allowing one run on five hits over five innings. Opposing starter Melvin Adon (0-3) took the loss in the Northwest League game after a rough outing in which he allowed five runs and four hits over three innings.

The Hawks swept both games of the doubleheader after winning the first game 2-0. Antonio Santos, Justin Calomeni and Julian Fernandez combined for the shutout in the first game.
