For the last 30 some-odd years, Nike has been on a mission to cram as much air as possible into your outsole. Their quest for lightweight comfort supremacy has led them to an innovative new look that takes the tech to heights previously unknown.

The Nike Air VaporMax features a full length Air Unit that cuts out the middleman and gets straight to to the point. Gone is the foam that usually houses the midsole, as well as the rubberized outsole, and in their places are a durable yet flexible air unit that provides a fantastic amount of cushioned articulation. To further reduce the models weight, a Flyknit build handles the upper -- making this model fully revolutionary.

There is no word on when the groundbreaking new model will hit shelves, but there is a cool video to accompany the introduction of Nike’s latest innovation.
