The University of Washington men's basketball team dodged a bullet after guard Nigel Williams-Goss told the Huskies he's returning for his sophomore season.

Goss considered entering his name into the 2014 NBA draft after averaging 13.4 points, 4.4 rebounds and 4.4 assists during his freshman season at UW.

Williams-Goss' decision to return is good news for Washington. The team loses sharp-shooting guard/forward C.J. Wilcox, who will likely be chosen in the NBA draft in June, to graduation. The team also loses co-captain Perris Blackwell to graduation and workhorse forward Desmond Simmons who decided to transfer.

Williams-Goss, who will be the Huskies leading returning scorer, will look to help improve the Huskies 17-15 record from last season.
