LAS VEGAS (AP) — Police in tourist-driven Las Vegas are being hit again with questions about bias, profiling and use-of-force, after a black NFL player reported being held at gunpoint and handcuffed by officers searching for an active shooter at a Las Vegas Strip casino. Seattle Seahawks defensive end Michael Bennett's claim that police used excessive force early August 27th drew a demand for accountability from the local American Civil Liberties Union and new criticism from the head of the local NAACP.

GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) — Green Bay Packers tight end Martellus Bennett plans to give older brother Michael a hug when he sees him this weekend. Recent events off the field make the high-profile season opener Sunday between Green Bay and Seattle seem trivial by comparison. Once the game kicks off, a Seahawks defense featuring end Michael Bennett and fortified by the return of safety Earl Thomas must contain a Packers offense adding Martellus Bennett as the latest target for quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

RENTON, Wash. (AP) — Seahawks running back Eddie Lacy is looking forward to his return to Lambeau Field. Lacy spent the first four seasons of his career with the Green Bay Packers but signed a one-year deal with Seattle in March.
