Powered by three HR's from Nelson Cruz, Mike Zunino and Kyle Seager, the Seattle Mariners improved their record in one-run games to an amazing 21-9 with a 5-4 win at Tropicana Field today over the Rays.

M's starter James "Big Maple" Paxton went 7 complete and struck out 10 batters while walking none to raise his record to 6-1. Edwin Diaz collected his MLB-leading 23rd save but needed a weird play at the plate to stave off the tying run to end the game.

Seattle returns to Safeco Field tomorrow night to open a 7 game homestand with three against the Angels and 4 against Boston.
